FAQ
How do I buy a product from Practifab?
If you see an item that you are interested in, click on the RFF button and you will be put on the list of prospective buyers. Someone will contact you to confirm your request. Once the preset number of buyers has been reached then fabrication begins. You will be contacted at the beginning of the fabrication process and a 25% down payment will be required at this time.
Who will be making my product?
Practifab will subcontract the manufacturing of the products to shops that are local to you. This keeps your hard earned dollars within your region fueling local business.
Why do you do it this way?
Many products that are mass produced are made many miles away from the end users. Quality is sacrificed for profitability, simplicity of manufacturing and ease of transportation.
Are the prices in the product section firm?
No. Every effort has been made to ensure that the price is fair. Most costs were calculated to have a modest profit. Any excess profits under 5% beyond target will be donated to local charity groups, hospitals ect. Any profits over 5% will be reflected in a reduction in price for the customer.
Why do I have to wait for my product?
"All good things are worth waiting for." By eliminating many expenses such as carrying stock or middle man and sales fees you will be recieving a custom made product that will give you years of service at less than custom pricing.
Why don't you build these products, one at a time, as needed?
The complications involved in building one thingy-ma-jig are very similar to building 10 thingy-ma-jigs. Complications cost money and it is better to spread out that cost over 10 rather than one.
